What you can expect
Before Treatment
Your provider will cleanse your skin and prepare the treatment area. A topical numbing cream may be applied to help keep you comfortable throughout the treatment. Your provider will customize your SkinPen treatment to match your skin type and goals.
During Treatment
Once your skin is prepared, your provider will gently pass SkinPen over the treatment area. Each SkinPen treatment creates micro-injuries that stimulate collagen production, working below the skin’s surface to renew and repair itself. SkinPen is a quick treatment with minimal discomfort. A typical appointment takes approximately 30–45 minutes, depending on your provider and treatment plan.
After Treatment
After treatment, mild redness, tightness, or dryness — similar to a light sunburn — may occur for 1–3 days. SkinPen has minimal downtime, but your provider will give you specific aftercare instructions based on your treatment area and skin needs. Please see patient labeling for detailed saftey information.
